Hamas should join the Palestinian people’s institutions – international relations expert
International relations expert Dr. Khaled Al-Azi: "Hamas must accept the Arabs' proposals and the proposals of [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas and be part of reorganizing the Palestinian body, because if we have been following [the situation] from the start of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation (i.e., Oct. 7 attack) until now, [we find] that no one has said that we want to uproot Hamas. Rather we want to reorganize Hamas, renew Hamas, and we want it to join the Palestinian people's institutions. The time has come for Hamas to extract from its thinking the concept of control, power, and holding onto land by force of arms, because it carried out an attempt (i.e., Oct. 7, 2023 massacre and launch of terror war) and this attempt was- I would not say it was a failure, as much as that its implications on the Palestinian people are fatal."
