Israel “stole” the Jaffa orange from Palestinian heritage, presenting it as “Israeli” to the world

Patent Department Director Hassan Ansawi: "As Palestinians, we have an ancient traditional heritage and knowledge, such as Palestinian clothing, certain foods, agriculture... Most of them have been stolen by the occupation (i.e., Israel) and registered in the international institutions on its behalf, such as the clothing, certain foods, geographical landmarks, the Jaffa orange and the Hebron grape."
