Israeli excavations under Al-Aqsa Mosque are part of a “campaign of forgery” to invent “an alleged Jewish city”

Headline: "Al-Aqsa Institute: The excavations under and around the Al-Aqsa Mosque involve unprecedented forgery"
"The [Israeli Arab] Al-Aqsa Institute for Islamic Trusts and Heritage said, in a press release published yesterday, that the occupation has carried out and continues at this time to carry out the most extensive excavation campaign under the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the wall adjacent to it, and that these excavations join an unprecedented campaign of forgery of the archaeological findings, with the aim of inventing an alleged Jewish city within and upon the ground around the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The press release by the Al-Aqsa Institute was based on recent notices by branches of the occupation and the Israeli media.
The Al-Aqsa [Institute] said that the occupation authorities are currently carrying out the most extensive excavation project next to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the past 150 years, and that the past 10 years have witnessed an unprecedented increase in excavations around Al-Aqsa."
