Abbas advisor claims Israel gives drugs to Palestinian youth

"’The 'Friends of Life Anti-Drug Society', with funding and technical assistance from UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime), celebrated the conclusion of two training courses yesterday at the Al-Qasr hotel in Nablus… At the start of the ceremony, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Friends of Life Anti-Drug Society, Iyad Othman, greeted those present. In his address, director of UNODC in the occupied Palestinian territories, Ulrik Ahnfeldt, thanked Sultan Abu Al-Einein for his interest and for his attending as representative of the President [Abbas], reflecting the degree of interest shown by President Abbas in the war on this phenomenon… In his address, Abu Al-Einein noted: 'We, the Palestinians, are at the stage of national liberation, and we must protect our national future…' He stressed that it is important that there be a stiff, deterrent penal law. He also addressed the tragic situation in Jerusalem and the extent of the efforts which the Israelis are investing in spreading drugs among Palestinian youth there."
