UN concert featuring mixed Israeli-Palestinian orchestra cancelled due to complaints by Palestinian association

"The office of the UN Special Coordinator for the [Middle East] Peace Process announced yesterday that the concert by the 'East-West Diwan' orchestra, due to take place at the end of the month at the Augusta Victoria hospital, will not take place as scheduled."
Note: The day before this article was published, the PA daily reported on a Palestinian Association in Jerusalem that called on the UN Special Coordinator to cancel the concert. The association complained that the orchestra does not recognize the Palestinian right of return and that Israeli musicians in the orchestra are allowed to serve in the Israeli army.
