Israel has plans to "Judaize" the Al-Aqsa Mosque

"The Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places warned yesterday of a report published by the Committee on Religions of the American State Department (sic. This body is called the US State Dept. Office of International Religious Freedom. –Ed.), calling upon Israel to make the Al-Aqsa Mosque ownerless and to open it to Jews, claiming that it is located within the precincts of their [the Jews'] alleged Temple. The Council also added that it considered this an American green light to complete the grand project of Judaization planned against the Al-Aqsa Mosque… Secretary General of the Council, Dr. Hana Issa, said: 'Today the grave situation of the Al-Aqsa Mosque has become clear, and we already cautioned many times in the past against measures of this kind and against Judaization activities.' He stressed that Israel is now close to achieving its aim of building the alleged Temple on the ruins of the Al-Aqsa Mosque… and added that what was published by the Committee on Religions of the American State Department constitutes an open and blatant declaration of US support for steps of this sort."
