Increased allowance to families of Martyrs

“The prime minister and a number of members of the leadership ate a meal to break the fast yesterday evening [Aug. 12, 2012] together with hundreds of Martyrs’ families, in a mass feast to break the Ramadan fast organized by the National Gathering of Palestine Families (i.e., literally the National Association of the Families of the Martyrs of Palestine)… In a statement to [official PA daily] Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, [Prime Minister Salam] Fayyad said that the feast to end the fast, which has become an annual event, is a blessed annual tradition, an event we are proud of, and an opportunity to commemorate the heroes who easily gave their lives for the freedom of the homeland."
