PA daily: "Jews have no right" to the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron

Headline: "The occupation closed the Ibrahimi Mosque (i.e., Cave of the Patriarchs) today to worshippers"
"The occupation authorities announced yesterday that the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron (i.e., the Machpela Cave of the Patriarchs) would be closed today [16/08/2012] to Muslim worshippers… Head of the Hebron Religious Trusts, Zayd Al-Ja'afari, condemned these arbitrary measures against houses of religious ritual, regarding them as an attack on the monotheistic religions and on freedom of religion as anchored in international laws. He also stressed that the occupation authorities intend to persist in this deliberate policy… in order to seize control of all sections of the cave … and he added that the Ibrahimi Mosque is a solely Palestinian-Islamic matter, and that Jews have no right to intervene in it.
The Ibrahimi Mosque, with all its passages, courtyards and sections, will be open to Muslim worshippers on Friday [Aug. 16, 2012] and on the first day of Eid El-Fitr. …Former Chairman of the Supreme Council of Islamic Law and preacher at the Ibrahimi Mosque, Sheikh Tayseer Al-Tamimi… stressed in a press release yesterday that the Ibrahimi Mosque, including all its parts is an Islamic mosque only, to which Jews have no right, neither from near nor from afar.
He also stressed that the settlers and Jews entering it to pray constitute a dualism that is not acceptable in houses of worship and is rejected by all monotheistic religions and international laws and accords."
