Israel seeks to destroy Al-Aqsa Mosque to build "alleged Temple" on its ruins

"The Council noted in a press release yesterday that the occupation authorities are still acting together with Jewish extremists to achieve their aim, which is the destruction of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and building the alleged Temple upon its ruins… Secretary-General of the Council, Dr. Hana Issa, said: ‘Burning the Al-Aqsa Mosque was not an isolated crime against the Mosque… but rather part of a greater Judaization plan directed against the city of Jerusalem in general, with no consideration for the sanctity of the places holy to Islam and to Christianity… in addition to the excavations that Israel has been carrying out for decades, and which have led to the creation of another city beneath Jerusalem.’"
