Israel “implant[s] a false Jewish history” in Jerusalem and “Jews have no right” to Jerusalem
"Yesterday, the Israeli Antiquities Authority workers continued the excavations in the area of the Umayyad Palaces, near the northern entrance to Silwan, to the south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque…
The workers set up signs along the path being constructed in order to mark what they claim is a 'biblical path to the Temple ritual baths'. The signs talk about first and second 'Temple' periods and their walls. New archaeological finds have also been placed in the area, which were presented as antiquities from the period of the alleged Temple…Sheikh Yusuf Ida'is, President of the Supreme Islamic Court, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Islamic Law warned that the occupation authorities continue to implement their Judaization plans against the holy city and the Islamic and Christian holy sites, and especially the Al-Aqsa Mosque. He said that the ongoing excavations in the area of the Umayyad Palaces, along with changing original Arabic names into Hebrew names, aim to implant a false Jewish history, in an unsuccessful attempt of the occupation to prove that it has a history in this city. Ida'is stated that Jerusalem will continue to rebel against Judaization. He said that Jerusalem will remain the capital of Palestine, and that the Jews have no right to it… The Islamic-Christian Council for Support of Jerusalem and the Holy Places yesterday condemned continuing Judaization initiatives and excavations in the area of the Umayyad Palaces and the Silwan neighborhood. It stressed that 'Israel' continues to falsify reality at Noble Sanctuary of Jerusalem (i.e., the Temple Mount) and in occupied Jerusalem generally, in order to fulfill its dream: to build the alleged Temple and the City of David on the ruins of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Islamic history in general. Occupation forces are actively implanting an invented Jewish history in these areas, in order to prove its right to the Noble Sanctuary (i.e., the Temple Mount)."
