Israel is trying "to destroy Palestinian society" and "lay financial siege" to the PA

"District Governor of Tubas and the northern valley region, Marwan Tubasi, declared his support yesterday for all positive and purposeful youth activity that is meant as constructive criticism for the good of the homeland and its citizens… Tubasi said… that there are groups that are trying to sidetrack the positive activity through acts that do not serve the national interest, thereby becoming a tool to destroy elements of society. He said, 'The Israeli occupation is trying to destroy Palestinian society, and is laying financial and economic siege to the Palestinian leadership, in a desperate attempt to force the leadership to submit to its demands.' He declared that President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian leadership draw their strength from their nation, which is aware of changes taking place around it in the Arab world and in the region."
