PA daily columnist mourns death of "the Martyr" Saddam Hussein
Columinst Adli Sadek:
“I’ll never forget the morning the Martyr (Shahid) President Saddam Hussein was executed, because on that same day of Eid-Ul-Adha (Celebration of Sacrifice) Shaabula (Egyptian singer Shaaban Abd El Rahim) stymied a demonstration by a number of Egyptian intellectuals and artists on the steps of the Journalists Union in central Cairo. This guy (Shaabula), who used to iron clothes, stood there and lamented the [death of] President Saddam… This lament added to [my] disgust and mourning, and caused those who hold a grudge and promote the ethnic biases that brought about Saddam’s fall, to laugh.”
