Palestinian Media Watch under major cyberattack from sources linked with China and Iran
Since late December, Palestinian Media Watch has been targeted by a sustained campaign of cyberattacks aimed at undermining access to our website and undermining our impact. Our cybersecurity team has identified persistent and coordinated intrusion attempts from infrastructure in multiple regions, primarily China and Iranian-controlled areas of Iraq.
While technical indicators cannot attribute these attacks to specific actors, the sophistication, precision, and clear strategic intent behind the activity point to a well-organized operation, far beyond the scope of isolated hackers or digital vandalism. This campaign appears designed to suppress PMW's exposure of the Palestinian Authority's support and rewards for terrorists, hate-promotion, and systematic Antisemitism.
Among the clear indicators is a sharp increase in targeted interference from specific countries. For example, hostile connection attempts linked to Chinese infrastructure have risen by more than 650% each week, resulting in a huge number of attempts, as can be seen from these analytics captured by our monitoring tools.

Palestinian Media Watch notes that these coordinated attempts to suppress PMW's impact only emphasize its importance. PMW will continue its mission: to document PA/Fatah/Hamas hate and terror-promotion activities, statements, and policies, thus ensuring that the public, and decision-makers in particular, have the information they need.
