Academic on PA TV: Netanyahu tricked US into war - Iran wasn't "existential threat"
Hebron University lecturer on political science Imad Al-Bishtawi: "[Israeli Prime Minister] Netanyahu talks about an existential [Iranian] threat, but we all know that in fact Iran does not pose any existential threat to Israel. Iran is [only] attempting to build its economy and its military industry without any connection to this matter [of Israel]. However, Netanyahu succeeded, first in reshaping Israeli public opinion within the territories of the Interior (i.e., Palestinian term for Israel), and secondly he also succeeded in reshaping American public opinion, until he succeeded in convincing American President Trump to carry out this war despite negotiations being held [with Iran]."
