Israel plans to occupy southern Lebanon – PA TV’s “Israeli affairs expert”

Official PA TV "Israeli affairs expert" Dr. Samir Al-Khatib: "The message that Israel conveyed to the villages of southern [Lebanon] to relocate and leave  towards north of the Litani River indicates that one of Israel's goals may be to occupy the area up to the Litani River and turn it into an uninhabited area. [Israel] is interested in occupying the area without there being residents there, just as happened in 1948 [when it] expelled the residents and took control of the land without residents. It is possible [it wants] to establish settlements there."
