Palestinian Authority grieves that released exiled murderers can "only" see their families on camera

The Palestinian Authority—the same one that glorifies terrorist murderers daily—is now asking the world to pity those murderers because their punishment separates them from their families.

PLO Commission of Prisoners' Affairs Director Raed Abu Al-Humus: "After the crime of arrest comes the crime of deportation. These heroes, who have paid a high price with their lives and bodies, continue to pay a heavy price today as they see their children and families only through phone cameras. They are unable to experience life's moments with them, which has created a pain of longing in their hearts that endangers their mental state and their daily lives."

It is almost as if the PA has adopted as policy Leo Rosten's famous definition of chutzpah in The Joys of Yiddish:"a man who, having killed his mother and father, throws himself on the mercy of the court because he is an orphan."

Posted on Facebook and echoed by the WAFA official PA news agency, Abu Al-Humus declared that these convicted terrorists were "heroes" who first experienced the "crime" of being arrested by Israel and then "paid a high price with their lives and bodies" in jail. However, now that they were released, Abu Al-Humus complained, they are being forced to live in Gaza or Egypt and can only see their families through phone cameras!

In other words, the PA, which always returns with more demands no matter what concessions the Palestinians receive, is now bemoaning the way Israel released terrorists who should have been locked up forever and were only freed because of the way Hamas extorted the lives of Israeli hostages.

The same inversion appeared in an international appeal issued by one of the terrorists deported to Gaza, who framed the terrorists' inability to reunite with their families as a humanitarian crisis worthy of global intervention.

"The released prisoners who were expelled from the West Bank to the Gaza Strip are honored to invite you to participate and cover the event 'Cry of the Released Prisoners.' The event is a humanitarian appeal that we raise before the entire world for our right to meet our families and loved ones after long years of deprivation and separation.

Through this event, we appeal to the UN, international and humanitarian institutions, human rights organizations, and all relevant parties to act to enable the deported released prisoners to exercise their human and natural right to meet their families and reunite with them after years of suffering and forced distance.

This is a humanitarian cry that we direct to the global conscience, hoping it will find attentive ears and fair hearts and bring an end to the suffering of hundreds of families still waiting for the moment of reunification after years of separation…

For the PA, the true victims are not those who will never again get to speak with their loved ones or get to be reunited with them through the intervention of the UN, human rights organizations, or "the global conscience." For the PA, the true victims are those murderers who destroyed the family lives of others.

In other words, Leo Rosten's orphan has become the PA's "hero."
