PLO official: Israel is trying to “take over the Al-Aqsa Mosque and destroy it”

Palestinian National Council member Imran Al-Khatib: "The statement issued by the group of Arab and Islamic countries condemns the measures being taken by the Israeli occupation authorities and the invasions into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. There is an Arab and Islamic stance that fiercely opposes the measures that are being taken by Israel to erase the characteristics of Jerusalem, to take over the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to destroy it."
