Palestinian terrorists are “entering the occupied lands of Palestine” – Syrian lawyer
A Syrian lawyer on PA TV presented all of Israel beyond the 1947 UN Partition Plan lines as "occupied Palestine," thereby denying Israel's legitimacy and justifying terrorist attacks inside Israel as "resistance" rather than murder.
Syrian lawyer Muhammad Na'im Akbik: "The occupied land of Palestine is the land that the [UN] General Assembly did not recognize at the time of the establishment of this state [Israel], which was established by the [UN Partition Plan] decision... The rest of the lands of Palestine are occupied. The [Israeli] occupation must end. Today, the Palestinian resistance fighters (i.e., terrorists) are entering the occupied lands of Palestine. They are not entering the land of Israel recognized by the UN."

It should be noted that according to the UN Charter itself, UN General Assembly resolutions are only "recommendations" and have "no legal power that affects the outside world." UN Security Council Resolutions are only binding if they were adopted under Chapter VII of the UN Charter.
