Hamas opponents called “traitors” and their wives and daughters are threatened by Hamas in Gaza

Abd Al-Hamid Abd Alati, journalist from Gaza: "We demand international forces, an end to the destruction, an end to the taxes. We demand water, rehabilitation… We demand education and health. We demand that there be one government, one leadership, and one institution subordinate to one minister, not two governments... There are many demands. We demand a future, a future for our children." …

Interviewer: "Have you received threats from the Hamas movement or activists in the Hamas movement as a result of these calls?"

Abd Al-Hamid Abd Alati, journalist from Gaza: "Yes, we received threats, and our families in Gaza are under threat. Messages were published demanding to disown us, but the Palestinian families and my dear family refused this... All the threats we receive about us being traitors and that our motives are suspicious and the threats we receive against our women, daughters, and families, all of this is because we are voicing demands through our freedom of expression and in peaceful ways."
