Israel “spreads misleading deceptive narratives” to prove Jewish history in Jerusalem – Palestinian expert
The PA erases Jerusalem's documented Jewish history by branding archaeology itself a Zionist fabrication and portraying Jewish holy sites as a plot to destroy Al-Aqsa.
Member of the Committee to Protect the Lands of Silwan, Fakhri Abu Diab: "The [Israeli] Antiquities Authority and the occupation (i.e., Jerusalem municipality)... are now preparing... to take control of the place to establish an open synagogue there, or what is called the small Wailing Wall,' as part of their attempts to eliminate the Al-Aqsa Mosque… to try to Judaize this area as part of the Judaization of the entire Al-Aqsa Mosque area, with the aim of destroying it later. This is a very dangerous reality involving the overtaking of an Islamic Waqf, which is very close to the gates of the Al-Aqsa Mosque [plaza], and naming the site as if it is part of the remains of the old Temple. Therefore they called it the Al-Buraq Wall - or what is called the Wailing Wall - in an attempt to distort the Arab Islamic history of this area, to convey and spread misleading deceptive narratives, and to prove that they [the Jews] had several points around the Al-Aqsa Mosque [plaza] and within it, when I believe, there is no [Jewish] archaeological, historical, or even scientific evidence that confirms any [Jewish] narrative [about the area]. Nevertheless, they are trying to invent and formulate a fake history in this area, close to the Al-Aqsa Mosque , while the Al-Aqsa Mosque itself is at the center of the Israeli attack."
