PLO official: “No stability in the region” unless all generations of Palestinian refugees return to Israel

The PLO conditions regional stability on millions of refugee descendants flooding Israel—effectively demanding Israel's demographic destruction.

Awdah TV host: "Every time the Palestinian refugees were discussed, the occupation (i.e., Israel) tried to market to the world that the definition of a refugee applies only to the generation expelled from their land in 1948. Today, 75 years after the adoption of the [1951] Refugee Convention and the expansion of the definition of the Palestinian refugee from generation to generation, might the world consider these proposals that Israel has been talking about, according to which the generation that didn't witness the Nakba should be removed from this definition?" ...

PLO Executive Committee member Wasel Abu Yusuf: "We see that 78 years since the Nakba of the Palestinian people, the entire Palestinian people, both old and young, emphasize their adherence to this sacred right of the Palestinian people. This national consensus decision is supported by the decisions of international bodies, and there is no choice but to implement them to achieve security and stability in this region. It will be impossible to talk about stability in the region if the rights of the Palestinian people, which include the return of refugees, self-determination, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, are not realized."
