Terrorist murderer was “a symbol,” “great patriot,” and “a giant man” - PA TV broadcasts praise from mourning tent
This demonstrates the Palestinian Authority's institutional glorification of terrorism, as senior Fatah leaders, a PA police official, and official media publicly honor a convicted murderer as a national hero and role model.
Official PA TV host: "Official delegations, national figures, and masses of citizens came to express condolences on the death of [former] prisoner Maher Younes (i.e., terrorist murderer) within the mourning tent set up by the Fatah Shabiba Movement in the Nablus district…"
Man 1: "We in the Fatah Shabiba Movement organized and set up this mourning tent in honor of the leader, fighter, and great patriot –Maher Younes... This was done as part of our national and moral duty towards this leader, this symbol, who is one of the most prominent leaders of the national prisoners' movement."
Man 2: "This is indeed an expression of loyalty to this giant man, fighter Maher Younes. The masses of our Palestinian people are called to be loyal to these fighters."
Mahmoud Al-Aloul, member of the Fatah Central Committee: "His departure left a deep wound in us."
Col. Samer Al-Zitawi, head of the Public Relations and Information Department in the Nablus District Police, also participated in the mourning for terrorist murderer Maher Younes.
