PA official demonizes Israel: “It wants extremism to be a disease that spreads in [Palestinian] society”

The PA official demonizes Israel by falsely accusing it of deliberately spreading extremism and fragmenting Palestinian society.

Governor of Tulkarem Abdallah Kmeil: "The interest in Quran recitation, in the correct interpretation of the Islamic religion, and in memorizing the Quran is intended to strengthen our Palestinian society, which is experiencing difficult circumstances because of the occupation (i.e., Israel) that does not wish well for the Palestinians. It wants extremism to be a disease that spreads in [Palestinian] society.It wants this society to be completely fragmented and weak because it will be easy for the occupation to deal with a weak society."
