Libel: The Jewish Talmud predicts Israel’s destruction after 80 years, Israel wants expansion to prevent it

This promotes a baseless religious conspiracy theory that Israel creates wars and pursues territorial expansion to escape a supposed Talmudic "curse," while presenting Israel's destruction as historically inevitable.

Egyptian political science researcher Mukhtar Ghabashi: "There is a religious and historical issue, as stated in the Israeli Talmud, in the Talmud itself- [the issue is that] Israel lives under the curse of the eighth decade of its existence-"

Ghabashi: "-and is pursued by an eternal truth, that their rule throughout human history has not lasted more than 80 years."

Official PA TV host: "Therefore, they want it to expand as fast as possible."

Ghabashi: "Now it has lasted for 78 years. Therefore, they want it to expand and create conflicts in all the areas bordering it."
