Oslo let PA textbooks teach about terrorists and supported Palestinian stages plan – old interview with Gazan

Young Gazan: "Whose textbooks are ours in schools? Oslo's. When my father was a child, he studied in Gaza about Tutankhamun and the ten dynasties of the Pharaohs, [Thanks to the Oslo textbooks] we began to learn about Jaljulia, about Ein Al-Hilweh, and about the prisoners and the Martyrs (i.e., terrorists). Schools and hospitals began to be named after the Martyrs and after our villages in the occupied interior (i.e., Palestinian term for Israel). They began to refer to us by the names of our original villages, we as refugees. The first lesson in the national education books, drafted and printed by the Oslo Authority, requires us to adhere to our original villages and the right of return. The authority did not gamble on an immediate solution. It is a solution in stages… They changed the textbooks so that those in Gaza would not learn about [the Pharaohs] Khufu and Khafre, but would think about Dalal Mughrabi (i.e., terrorist who led murder of 37, 12 of them children), about Kamal Adwan (i.e., terrorist). These are the Oslo textbooks. This is a battle of consciousness, a long-term battle of consciousness. They [the PLO] started from 22% with a view towards 100% [of Palestinian territories]."
