Fatah official: Israel is an “enemy” and “a danger to Arab existence”

Fatah Central Committee member Akram Al-Rajoub: "In our region, everything that happens is because of Israel. Everything that happens is due to the behavior of the occupying state. What happens in Beirut, and in Lebanon in general, is the handiwork of Israel. What happens in Syria is the handiwork of Israel. What happens in Yemen is the handiwork of Israel. What happens in Iraq is the handiwork of Israel. What happens in Tehran is the handiwork of Israel. Therefore, the region and its problems that exist today on the ground are meant to serve Israel's interest... Why until now, despite 50 years of normalization and diplomatic relations with Egypt, does the security and military doctrine in the Egyptian army see Israel as enemy number one?  It has not been erased from the Egyptian documents. Because they understand that this state poses a danger to Arab existence and that the Israelis have a strategic intention to eventually attack these regimes and these countries."
