Palestinian Authority: The West sought to “cleanse” itself of Jews because of their “disgraceful behavior”
The West wanted to rid itself of the Jews because it had "suffered greatly" from their "disgraceful behavior patterns." In a vicious antisemitic tirade, the PA's official daily blamed the Jews themselves for the hatred and persecution directed against them, while their removal from society was described as a form of "cleansing."
The PA daily further portrayed Israelis as inherently deceitful, racist, and bloodthirsty, declaring that their writings are filled with "hostility, racism, lies, fabrications, a lust for blood, and dark hatred." It then disseminated another centuries-old antisemitic libel, which is that Judaism itself commands the categorical elimination of non-Jews.
Columnist Hassan Hmeid: "Everything [Zionist leader Theodor] Herzl said in his diary was intended to conquer Palestine and concentrate the Jews within it... His call attracted the attention of the Western world, which suffered greatly from the disgraceful behavior patterns of the Jews in European countries, and not only European – because it [Zionism] supported [the West's desire] to get rid of the Jews and cleanse Western society of them, once they leave and emigrate (both willingly and forcibly) [brackets in original] to the Palestinian land…
Herzl met three times with the Ottoman sultan and asked him to return the Jews to Palestine. He tempted him with gold, as the Ottomans were suffering from financial distress…
Herzl's diary is not the only book that reveals the secrets of the Zionist project, brazenly points to the Jewish aspirations in Palestinian land, and publicly declares their hostile desire to get rid of the Palestinians by all barbaric means and methods from 1917 to this very day...
Their writings are filled with hostility, racism, lies, fabrications, a lust for blood, and dark hatred because they view the Palestinians as gentiles and getting rid of them is the ultimate goal. More than that, it is a religious belief!"

The imagery comes directly from the arsenal of classic European Antisemitism: Jews are morally corrupt outsiders; Jews are inherently bloodthirsty; Judaism itself teaches hatred of non-Jews; and society is therefore justified in treating Jews as an evil that must be removed.
This is precisely what makes the PA's persistent promotion of Antisemitism so dangerous. Once Jews or Israelis are portrayed as inherently evil, deceitful, and bloodthirsty, violence against them can be presented as justified, even virtuous. The demonization becomes the ideological trigger for terror.
That is why the PA's antisemitic messaging cannot be separated from its broader glorification and encouragement of violence against Jews. Having cultivated an image of Jews reminiscent of the medieval blood libels and the hatred that fueled centuries of pogroms, the PA can then move seamlessly to broadcasts calling for Jews to be exterminated "one by one." The hatred provides the justification, and terror becomes its logical conclusion, which the PA claims that Allah also demands.
