PA PM: PA transferred 5 billion shekels ($1,679,515,000) the last two years to support Gaza - during Hamas’ war against Israel
Official PA TV host: "[PA] Prime Minister Muhammad Mustafa reviewed the [PA] government's efforts, which, despite the financial difficulties it faces, is working to provide support to our people in the Gaza Strip in all fields, especially in education and health as well as other areas, by transferring 5 billion shekels (i.e., $1,679,515,000) over the past two years and raising 1 billion dollars for the first phase of the early recovery plan, through the donor countries' conference held in Brussels two weeks ago."

The conference held in Brussels refers to the Team Gaza Initiative, which is a European Commission-led initiative launched in July 2026 by Spain, Denmark, the UK, Germany, Norway, Finland, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Japan, Switzerland, Sweden, Belgium, and the World Bank. An initial 883.6 million euros (i.e., $1,030,529,426.00) were pledged to fund projects in "water and sanitation, debris and waste management, health, energy, agriculture, and food systems" in Gaza.
