Israel is “cunning and deceitful… in ’48 there weren’t even 70 Jews in Palestine”

PA TV perpetuates an antisemitic narrative that delegitimizes Israel's very existence.

Deir Ammar resident Muhammad Odeh: "This [Israel] is an enemy—cunning, deceitful, a liar and never satisfied. Imagine they take all of Palestine and enter Syria, Iraq… They claim false, deceitful claims based on the Torah, that this land was theirs... I say to the people of our village or the area: Stand firm on your land... Stand firm on it and do not hand it over to the Jews or the settlers... They [the Jews] come to us from Russia and from Britain and say: 'This is the land of my ancestors'... [These are] false claims… Their land is not Palestine. Go back to history – Palestine was never theirs... In '48 there weren't 70 Jews. During the British Mandate, there weren't 70 Jews in Palestine."
