Palestinian Shari’ah lawyer frames femicide as an issue of faithless perpetrators, not Palestinian religious culture

Official PA radio Voice of Palestine host: "How does Shari'ah law address the issue of femicide?"

Saadi Dweikat, Shari'ah lawyer: "When we investigate the issue of the murder of women, children, and others, we need to reach the reason behind them. For example, we investigate what reasons led to the murder, and the main factor in these cases is the absence of religion, because no person with religion, conscience, or morality is capable of [committing] a crime where he murders his wife, daughter, sister, son, and so on, or vice versa."
