Fatah spokesman admits UNRWA “preserves” the Palestinian refugee issue

Fatah's spokesman says UNRWA preserves and "immortalizes" the refugee issue, revealing why Fatah wants it maintained across generations.

Fatah Movement spokesman Iyad Abu Zneit: "There is the issue of refugees. This issue is evidence of the existence of a Palestinian problem, of the existence of the Palestinian issue itself. There are 6 to 7 million Palestinian refugees in the world, and really even more. Half of the Palestinian people or more are refugees, and half of the refugees are in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Therefore, the Palestinian issue is a refugee issue caused by the Zionist institutions and the existence of Israel.Since UNRWA is evidence of this, preserves it, and immortalizes this Palestinian existence, it is a target, and Israel seeks to bury and exclude it."
