Palestinian Authority gives highest honor to terrorist who critically injured Israeli soldier: “Shahid” – a Martyr who died for Allah
The Palestinian Authority has given the highest praise for the terrorist who critically injured Israeli soldier Neria Leiter in a car-ramming attack yesterday.
The PA praised terrorist Mahmoud Suleiman as a "Shahid"—the highest honor achievable in Islam according to the PA—a Martyr who died for Allah.
Both in its official PA daily and on its official radio station, the PA stressed that terrorist Suleiman, who deliberately rammed his car into Israeli soldiers at an Israeli military checkpoint, died and "ascended to the heavens" as "a Martyr:"
"Israeli occupation forces continued to escalate their aggression… a young man (i.e., terrorist who critically injured an Israeli) died as a Shahid(i.e., Martyr who died for Allah)…
Mahmoud Suleiman, a 29-year-old young man, died as a Shahid for Allah after being shot by the occupation while in his car. The occupation forces claimed that the Shahid ran over a soldier and seriously injured him."

Posted text: "The General Authority for Civil Affairs informed the [PA] Ministry of Health that Mahmoud Muhammad Mahmoud Suleiman, a 28-year-old young man, became a Shahid (i.e., Martyr who died for Allah) from the fire of the occupation (i.e., Israeli) forces near the village of Beit Ur Al-Tahta west of Ramallah, and that his body is being held [by Israel]."

Glorifying terrorists and terrorist murderers who are killed while attacking Israelis as Martyrs for Allah has been standard practice in the PA for decades. For example, 10 years ago, when a terrorist murdered a 13-year-old girl in her sleep, Palestinian Media Watch documented that both PA Chairman Abbas' Fatah Movement and the PA's official news agency WAFA immediately gave the murderer the honorable title of "Shahid." Fatah even posted a photo of the murderer:
