Israel “steals” Palestinian history to prove “a Zionist historical right” - PA TV and researcher
Official PA TV is using historical denial to delegitimize the Jewish connection to the land, portraying Jewish archaeology and historical claims as "theft," "Judaization," and deliberate falsification.
Official PA TV host: "History is not written by the hand of a thief—something the occupation (i.e., Israel) doesn't want to understand. Therefore, it annexed and stole [the lands] and changed the historical narrative concerning these areas to deceive itself and the world about its malicious intentions. In the Salfit district, more than 140 historical [archaeological] sites are subject to a systematic [Israeli] attack of takeover and looting... while [the settlers are] falsifying history and linking the settlements to Palestinian archaeological sites that they have seized by force."
Researcher Fares Al-Dik: "There is a severe and widespread attack. First of all, for the purpose of stealing history, especially since in the Salfit district there are fortresses from the Stone Age, fortresses from the Roman period, and fortresses from the Iron Age. We see that the settlement enterprise is trying to Judaize these areas, to steal the history and the findings found at those archaeological sites, to supposedly prove that there is a Zionist historical right in this area. In all the fortresses where excavations were conducted, no evidence of Jewish history was found. This indicates, therefore, the falsification of history."
