A senior Fatah official glorifies Intifada leaders who became PA security officers and calls for their elevation into Fatah leadership.

Fatah Central Committee member and General Commissioner for Recruitment and Organization Tawfiq Tirawi: "The leaders of the first and second Intifadas, the [Palestinian] officers who joined the security institutions and retired, and those who went to civilian institutions and retired, should be leaders in this movement's [Fatah's] council."
