PA daily columnist: Israel plans to “establish Greater Israel at the expense of Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, and Syria”

Official PA TV promotes the false claim that Israel plans to seize parts of Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, and Syria to create "Greater Israel."

Official PA TV host: "Israel has explicitly declared that it aspires to establish what they call Greater Israel from the Nile to the Euphrates."

Journalist Murad Fathi: "Everyone understands this and everyone knows that Israel's ambitions are not limited to the borders of Palestine."

Official PA daily columnist Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul: "[Israeli PM] Netanyahu presented the map of Greater Israel on the UN stage [in 2023], and before him, [Israeli Finance Minister] Smotrich presented the map of Greater Israel in Paris, France. Hence, this is not related to an election campaign… Netanyahu, Smotrich, and all parts of the ruling coalition, are working to implement the Israeli plan to displace the Palestinian people and establish Greater Israel at the expense of Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, and Syria."

Netanyahu and "the New Middle East" map at the UN in 2023: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented a map titled "The New Middle East" on Sept. 22, 2023 at the UN General Assembly. The map showed Israel and its regional Arab partners Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia marked in green, but didn't show the West Bank, East Jerusalem, the Gaza Strip, or any "Palestine," which made critics accuse Israel of considering the entire territory from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea as sovereign Israel.
In fact, Netanyahu used the map to illustrate the ongoing normalization process via the Abraham Accords with Arab countries in the region, envisioning trade corridors between Europe and India via Israel and the Arab states.

Smotrich and map of "Greater Israel" in Paris in 2023:

When Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich spoke at a private memorial service in Paris, France on March 19, 2023, the podium was adorned with a map of "Greater Israel" that absorbed the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, the Kingdom of Jordan, and parts of Syria and Lebanon.
Smotrich's spokesperson subsequently stated that the map was chosen by the event's local organizers and not by Smotrich himself.
