A PLO ambassador exploits Holocaust memory by equating the Jews' post-Holocaust experience with the Palestinian cause today.

PLO Ambassador to the Arab League Mohannad Al-Aklouk: "Our [Palestinian] issue today has become similar to that of the Jews after the Holocaust. It has become an issue for every family in this world, a personal issue. When you see a European woman who goes [to demonstrate] while crying, as she watches the sights, she tells you: 'I sent my children to school, but the Palestinian mother sends her children to the morgue.'"
