Jewish ancient connection to land of Israel is “a big lie”
Editor-in-Chief of the PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Aref Hijjawi:
“They covet the land, and the land has limits. We’re not up against just this Israeli craving, we’re up against an [Israeli] dream. Israel has created a dream in the hearts and minds of its inhabitants, of world Jewry, and of [the inhabitants of] western countries as well: ‘We’re coming back to our land after 3,000 years.’ That’s a big lie. They’re using the Torah as a land registration form. The Torah is no certificate of title to the land.”
