PA daily refers to Israel as “the ‘48 Interior”

"A large contingent from the Jerusalem Ribat Activists Council fulfilled the obligation of consoling mourners after the death of Younes Fadl Younes, father of elder prisoner Karim Younes, who died two days ago in the village of Ar'ara in the Palestinian interior.
Heading the contingent was Yusuf Mukhaymar who heads the Ribat Activists Council (Ribat refers to struggle and/or war to maintain Islamic territory, ed.) that also included the head of the Popular Council to Oppose Judaization, Khadr Al-Dibs, and many other Ribat activists who were accompanied by a large delegation of released prisoners from the '48 Interior, led by Wasfi Mansour from Tira, Munir Mansour from Majd Al-Kurum, and Jamal Yusuf from the ‘Triangle’ (a region in Israel with many Arab villages, ed.).

Note: Karim Younes - an Israeli Arab serving a 40-year sentence for kidnapping and killing an Israeli soldier in 1980. Originally sentenced to life in prison, but Israeli President Shimon Peres reduced his sentence in 2012.
