PA Minister Religion says "fighting and Jihad" will continue until Palestine becomes a state
PA TV broadcast the Friday sermon delivered by PA Minister for Religious Affairs Mahmoud Al-Habbash at the Tashrifat Mosque in the PA presidential compound, Ramallah on Jan. 18, 2013. PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas was in the congregation. Al-Habbash calls for continued “fighting and Jihad” but also states that the “struggle will continue, now, through popular, peaceful resistance.”
“Brother believers, our struggle and our Jihad will go on. The Palestinian struggle, fighting, and Jihad will not be stopped until our wish and our hope are realized and the State of Palestine becomes fact, just as it has now become a fact according to international law. From a legal point of view, Palestine has become a state. In practice, this state must take shape and be firmly established on the ground. The Palestinian struggle will continue, now, through popular, peaceful resistance that has become the Palestinian consensus.”
