PA daily calls suicide bomber Wafa Idris a ”Martyr” and her attack an ”operation”
“The look on prisoner [Mundhir] Nour’s father’s face changed as he recalled the moments when his son… who worked as an ambulance driver for the Red Crescent movement, was arrested in the city of Ramallah on April 18, 2002 for participating in the transportation of Martyr Wafa Idris (Shahida) to the place where she carried out her operation (i.e., suicide bombing) in Western Jerusalem. In the operation one person was killed and dozens were injured.”
Note: Wafa Idris was the first Palestinian female suicide bomber. She killed one and injured over 100 in her attack in central Jerusalem in 2002. As a volunteer for the Palestinian Red Crescent, she was able to bypass Israeli security and enter Jerusalem in a Palestinian ambulance.
