Press photographs are part of the popular resistance against the occupation
PA TV program Palestine this Morning interviewed photojournalist Nasser Shuyukh, who has been documenting events in Bil’in for the past 8 years.
Shyukh:“Press photographs are photos working to support the popular resistance in Palestine and especially since yesterday marked the eighth anniversary of the popular intifada in Bil’in… The photo is the ambassador of the Palestinian problem, it conveys the truth, and we, the Palestinian photographers, in the end, are the ambassadors of truth. The photo is what disturbs the occupation… the photo, for us, is a traveling emissary that is passed on to each home, to every reader and every viewer and documents the events.”
