PA TV guest: “Mothers ululate with joy” when Martyrs’ blood is shed

PA TV program Palestine this Morning, special Nakba Day broadcast.

General Coordinator of the National Committee for Commemorating Nakba Day, Muhammad Alyan: "Some say, 'Will you commemorate the Nakba (“the catastrophe,” the Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel) through songs?' I say to anyone who speaks this way: Martyrs fall among us and [their] mothers ululate with joy over the blood that flows on this good land. When a Martyr falls we chant slogans. We chant national songs even at processions and rallies. Sometimes these songs reach the heart better than a bullet."
