Fatah official calls terrorist involved in killing of 37 “wonderful self-sacrificing fighter role model”
Headline: “Abbas Zaki phones commander of the group responsible for the ‘Dalal Mughrabi’ operation (i.e., terror attack) and convinces him to end his strike”
“Member of Fatah Central Committee and Commissioner of Arab Relations and Relations with China, Abbas Zaki, phoned Hussein Fayyad, leader of the group responsible for the ‘Dalal Mughrabi’ operation (i.e., most lethal terror attack in Israel’s history in 1978,) whose health has deteriorated as a result of his hunger strike…
Zaki said that he spoke on the phone with fighter Fayyad, who resides in Algeria because the occupation forbids him to return to his homeland Palestine, and convinced him to end his strike, which he had started because he does not receive his rights [from the PA] as a fighter and as one of the revolution’s heroes.
Zaki added that he promised fighter Fayyad to restore his dignity and raise his case before President Mahmoud Abbas and the concerned parties, so that justice will be done.
Zaki said that the Fatah movement would not abandon its fighter sons who sacrificed what was most precious to them for Palestine’s freedom and that allowing them to live in dignity is an obligation and not a favor.
Zaki said that he is convinced that President Mahmoud Abbas will not tarry in ensuring justice for wonderful self-sacrificing (Fedayeen) fighter role models, such as fighter Hussein Fayyad who fought against the occupation and participated in the heroic Dalal Mughrabi operation."
Note: Dalal Mughrabi led the most lethal terror attack in Israel’s history in 1978, when she and other terrorists hijacked a bus and killed 37 civilians, 12 of them children.
