Documentary on PA TV claims Arab history in Jerusalem dates back to 3,000 BC
PA TV live broadcast of the fourth Islamic Jerusalem Summit. Excerpt from a documentary film named ‘Jerusalem’ screened during the summit:
“In the year three thousand B.C. the Arabs and the Jebusites (a Canaanite tribe) dwelt there and built a city and named it ‘City of Peace’. The first group to believe in one God was formed in this city, ruled by king Melchizedek who expanded the city and called it ‘Uhr Salem’ meaning, ‘City of Peace.’ Jerusalem has been given many names throughout history but despite the numerous names, it has preserved its Canaanite- Arab name.”
