Fatah official defends Abu Al-Einein's glorification of a murderer (exposed by PMW)
On May 2, 2013, Abbas advisor Sultan Abu Al-Einein glorified a murderer who killed an Israeli father of five. In response to the international condemnation that ensued, Fatah official Abd Al-Sattar Awwad defended Al-Einein:
Headline: “Fatah’s Salfit branch: ‘All fighters and free men are Sultan Abu Al-Einein’”
“[Secretary of Fatah’s Salfit branch] Abd Al-Sattar Awwad declared: ‘Sultan Abu Al-Einein’s positions and statements express what every citizen and [what] every free and honorable person thinks, and they represent the position of the [Fatah] movement that rejects [the legitimacy] of settlers and occupation. This is consistent with all international laws that do not recognize the legitimacy of the settlements that sit heavily on our chests.”
Note: Sultan Abu Al-Einein is an advisor to PA Chairman Abbas on NGOs and a member of the Fatah Central Committee.
