Israel is “an oppressive, occupying entity that will disappear in the end”
PA TV News reported on a Nakba festival in the Al-Wihdat Refugee Camp in Jordan. The following statement is an example of the success of the PA’s message of non-recognition of Israel and denial of Israel’s right to exist. This viewpoint has been adopted by many Palestinians, as exemplified in the following statement:
Festival participant, former President of the Jordan Medical Association Ahmad Al-Armouti:
“This festival emphasizes the Arab and Palestinian people’s belief in its historic right to Palestine. No matter how long it may take, this people will not forget its historic land from the [Mediterranean] sea to the [Jordan] river, and it declares that it owns this land, and that the Zionist entity is an oppressive, occupying entity that will disappear in the end.”
Note: Nakba (“catastrophe”) is the Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel.
