PA TV interview: “All research shows that there was no Temple”
PA TV program Good Morning Jerusalem interviewed the representative of the Independent Muslim Authority’s people’s conference, Muhammad Misk about Jewish activity on Tisha B’Av.
People’s Committee representative, Muhammad Misk: “The day commemorating the destruction of the Temple, as you pointed out, it is an alleged temple. There is no basis for this. This is a Zionist idea that Zionism created in order to arouse the emotions of Jews around the world and make them immigrate to Palestine. All research shows that there was no temple there. In their opinion, the temple was destroyed in 70 AD by the Romans… and history says that if there was a temple, it was not in Jerusalem.”
Note: Tisha B’Av is a Jewish fast day commemorating the destruction of the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem and the forced exile of all Jews from the land of Israel.
