Fatah military wing commemorates terrorist who killed two in a shooting attack
“Yesterday evening [July 22, 2013] the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades (Gaza District) marked the anniversary of the Martyrdom death of Tareq Salim Abdallah Yassin who carried out the heroic joint operation (i.e., terror attack) at Kissufim (the Death Bridge). (Parenthesis in original, -Ed.).
The social committee of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades (Gaza District) paid a visit to the home of the Martyrdom-seeking hero Tareq Salim Abdallah Yassin, in the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood in the city of Gaza. Many of the Brigades’ most prominent commanders in the Gaza Strip participated [in the visit].
In the home of Martyrdom-seeking Yassin, the Brigades renewed their vow to his pure soul. They stressed that they will continue on the path that thousands of Martyrs (Shahids) of the heroic Palestinian people followed and died on.
It is worth mentioning that the Martyrdom-seeking Tareq Salim Yassin from the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, Fatah’s military wing, died as a Martyr on July 24, 2004, after carrying out the joint operation in Kissufim named the ‘Death Bridge.’ The Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades took responsibility for it, together with the Al-Quds Brigades (the Islamic Jihad’s military wing) and the Al-Nasser Salah Al-Din Brigades (the Popular Resistance Committee’s military wing). [The operation] led to the death of a number of Zionists that day and injured of a few more.
The operation ended with the death of the two men who carried it out: Tareq Salim Abdallah Yassin… and Yahya Ra'is Hammad Abu Taha, resident of the city of Rafah in the southern [Gaza] Strip, who is a member of the Al-Quds Brigades.”
A photo shows members of the terrorist’s family holding a poster with a picture of the terrorist Tareq Salim Yassin, and pictures of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and Yasser Arafat. The picture is signed “The Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades” and bears this dedication: “To the Martyrdom-seeker, the hero, Tareq Salim Yassin”
The following Quran verse is also printed on the picture: “And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision.”
Fatah’s caption to the picture: “The Martyr’s family receives a symbolic gift.”
