Denying Israel’s existence is worth $100

During the month of Ramadan, official Palestinian Authority TV has been entertaining its viewers with quiz questions. PA TV reporters have been asking Palestinians in the street different questions and rewarding a correct answer with a $100 prize.

Some of the questions, which PA TV chose to ask and later broadcast, present a world without Israel by defining the Israeli cities of Jaffa, Safed, and Ashdod, as well as Mount Meron as "Palestinian."
 
Palestinian Media Watch has shown that the PA as policy denies Israel's existence and its right to exist, and official PA TV also follows this policy. The following are some current examples:

Each "correct" answer was rewarded with $100, sponsored by the Bank of Palestine, and two mobile phone companies, Jawwal and Wataniya.

Below are examples of PA TV quiz questions in recent years, which show that PA TV consistently encourages Palestinians to picture a world without Israel.

In 2012, a PA TV quiz taught viewers that Safed is a "Palestinian city."

In 2011, Jaffa was described as "a Palestinian city," Israel's Ga'aton River was said to be in "Northern Palestine," and Mount Meron and Mount Carmel were defined as "mountains of Palestine."

In 2010, PA TV also rewarded the denial of Israel's existence with prizes of $100. A PA TV host asked refugees in Lebanon to name 5 cities in "Palestine" and rewarded the "correct" answers citing Israeli cities as Palestinian.

Also in 2010, another PA TV quiz, indicating EU sponsorship by displaying EU's logo, also erased the existence of Israel, by claiming that Haifa was "a Palestinian coastal city."

Similarly, in 2009, Haifa, Jaffa and Acre were named "Palestinian ports."

In 2008, PA TV transmitted the same message to children through various questions on a children's quiz show. Here, Haifa, Jaffa, Ashkelon, and Ashdod were presented as "Palestinian ports," "Palestine," not Israel, was said to share a border with Lebanon, and the Sea of Galilee was a "sweet water lake in Palestine."
