Palestinian committee announces 2013 is “Palestine without normalization in sport year
“The National Committee Against Normalization held its periodic meeting in its Jerusalem offices to discuss a few points and plans of action for the next stage…
Committee members commended the committee’s activities in honor of the month of Ramadan: Launching the ‘Now’ campaign for boycotting Israeli products in Palestinian markets as well as declaring this present year, 2013, as the ‘Palestine without normalization in sports’ year… the committee emphasized in its announcement that it has identified several [Palestinian] players from Jerusalem who play for Jerusalem clubs while also playing for Israeli clubs in Western Jerusalem.
The committee called on senior officials in the Jerusalem clubs and their presidents to deal with this matter with Secretary-General of the National Committee Against Normalization, Jihad Uweida.”
